WPS manages over 600,000 homes, delivering high-quality services across more than 20 housing association client contracts as well as local authorities. FLS VISITOUR has been integrated with WPS’ housing management solution from MRI Software.
READING, U.K. – June 4, 2025 – PRLog — WPS, the property services arm of Wates Construction Group and a leading provider of housing maintenance services in the UK, has selected FLS’ dynamic scheduling and route planning solution FLS VISITOUR to optimise its field service operations.
WPS specialises in responsive repairs, planned maintenance, heating and compliance, plus renewables and facilities management, with a focus on improving tenant satisfaction through innovative technology and efficient operations.
Following a rigorous selection process, FLS VISITOUR impressed with proven capabilities for operational efficiencies. As the European leader for algorithm-based planning and intelligent in-day response, FLS will support WPS’ mission to overcome capacity constraints including reducing ‘no-access’ appointments and to deliver more completed jobs per operative, per day.
The adoption of FLS’ real-time dynamic field service scheduling aligns with WPS’ stringent service level agreements and will empower the company to ensure timely and cost-effective appointments, with a greater opportunity for a first time-fix. Optimised skills matching and time-of-day routing will strengthen compliance planning, including gas and renewables repairs and servicing, as well as electrical testing and inspections.
Gary Wilkinson, Managing Director for South Reactive Maintenance at WPS said,
“By integrating FLS VISITOUR, we anticipate significant improvements in operational efficiency, resource allocation, and customer service excellence, reinforcing our position as a leader in the UK housing maintenance sector.
We look forward to realising long-term value, including lower fuel use and CO2 emissions that will support our customers in their efforts to decarbonise their supply chain. The FLS solution is already live for a pilot contract and is expected to be further rolled out in the coming weeks and months.”
Jeremy Squire, UK Managing Director at FLS commented,
“Today’s announcement, which comes after a very challenging tender process, is testament to our technology, expert consultants and references and we feel very proud to be working with such a well-known and quality service provider to the housing sector.
With the addition of Wates, our combined social housing customers provide repairs and maintenance services to almost two million properties across the UK and Europe, and highlights the continual requirement to achieve greater productivity and tenant engagement.
For social landlords and housing associations, this comes at a critical juncture where costs of resources have risen whilst compliance and tenant satisfaction continues to strain resources.”
